Britain’s biggest serial killer was a doctor, Dr Harold Shipman. Unsuspected for many years, Dr. Shipman selected his victims from his patient list. There were clues, but who in the community would believe that a doctor would kill his patients? Suspected of killing over 350 people during his career, it was clumsy attempts at forging the will of one of his victims in his own favor that alerted the police and led to his arrest. Found guilty at his trial and jailed for life, Dr. Shipman committed suicide never accepting his guilt.

The lawyers represent a man accused of violent disorder and of brandishing a knife at police in a burglary, another accused of an armed robbery with an axe at a hairdressing salon, a serial burglar accused of changing his line in crimes by causing criminal damage, and a man accused of attacking with a claw hammer another man he suspected of being a paedophile.

The cameras also follow the Tuckers team away from the office, with the wedding of legal adviser Katy Calderbank in focus as she prepares for her big day – an opportunity for staff to celebrate together.

6 Falsely Convicted: Senior Citizen Murder | Real Crime

In 1992, Félix Michaud is arrested for the murder of 72-year old Rose Gagné. The charge is based solely on the testimony of Marco Albert, a drug addict. Michaud is convicted and sentenced to life.

After multiple trials, a new lawyer finds evidence withheld by the crown, evidence that fully exonerates Michaud. He is set free in 2001, nine years after his arrest for a crime he did not commit.

This emotional documentary follows the lives of the families and staff working with the inmates to try and break the cycle of re-offending and change lives. 
 
HMP Norwich houses more than 750 adult inmates and young offenders, ranging from seasoned criminals to first offenders. Most of the 2,500 annual new prisoners are husbands, fathers, and sons. When coping with the harsh realities of prison life, their families are their lifeline. Nearly half will lose touch with them and a fifth of marriages will break up under the strain, yet those who manage to keep family ties alive are six times less likely to re-offend.
